I almost walked away from medicine entirely. Postpartum depression nearly broke me—and it all started with not being able to make enough milk. Since then, I’ve spent nearly 16 years navigating the breastfeeding journey through five kids, sleepless nights, and a whole lot of self-doubt. That experience shaped everything I do as a physician, founder, and advocate. Because the science matters. But so does the story.
